THE Under-Secretary of State for India presents his compliments to the Under- Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and, by direction of Mr. Secretary Brodrick, forwards herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State, copy of a telegram to the Viceroy, dated the 6th May, relative to the Burmah-China boundary.

India Office, May 6, 1905. BURMÁH-CHINA boundary. Your telegram of the 16th September, 1904. His Majesty's Minister at Peking has addressed the Chinese Government in accord- ance with the letter from India Office to Foreign Office dated the 28th September, 1904, copy of which was inclosed in the letter from Political Secretary of the 30th September, 1904. Sir E. Satow presumes that some sort of supervision over the provisional frontier will be exercised by the Government of Burmah, and that transgressions by Chinese troops or officials will be reported by them. I shall be glad to receive a further report on this point by telegraph.
